The Russian Gallery Gallery owners, Steve
and Colleen Aichle are proud to announce an association with Mr. Ray
Johnson of the Overland Gallery of Scottsdale. Mr. Johnson understood
the importance of the "Hidden Treasures" of the Soviet years
(1920-1960). His efforts to conserve
and document the masterworks of this time has earned him the rarely
bestowed honor, Ray worked with both the Smithsonian and the Guggenheim on recent Russian Exhibits. The first auctions at Sotheby's and Christie's featuring this period have earn prices far in excess of expectations. Mr. Johnson's enthusiasm for Soviet Russian Impressionism is contagious. He feels that these works will be the Monets and VanGoghs of the twentieth century. Mr. Johnson's commitment to Russian Impressionism grew into the finest collection of this period in the world. On May 9th of 2005 he and his wife Susan opened TMORA, a museum of Russian art in Minneapolis that will house works from many major collections of this period. TMORA also has an ambitious schedule of upcoming exhibitions. For more information visit www.TMORA.org Opening reception and informational evening - Saturday March 25th 7pm at Fallbrook Fine Art - 128 North Main - Fallbrook CA 92028 Serious collectors welcome - seating is limited - please call 760-728-0700 or email artabler@pacbell.net To view the photos of our Russian Gallery collection, please click on the smaller photos to enlarge.
